This UK restoration initiative seeks to remove 1 million tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2030

Supported by the Scottish Government The Future Forest Companies' mission is to “unfuck the future” by removing 1 Million tonnes of CO2 by 2030.

The UK-based initiative seeks to:

  • Plant forests and restore other valuable carbon sinks such as peatlands

  • Regenerate wetlands

  • Protect existing ancient forests dating back hundreds of years

  • Plant wildflower meadows

  • Provide employment for rural communities

  • Provide expertise to local landowners on restoration and biodiversity

In an effort to reduce their environmental impact, they use UK wind energy to power their operations and website.

To date, they manage 2.8 Hectares of land and have planted almost 400,000 trees. Working in cooperation with over 300 businesses, they receive funding from companies wishing to sponsor CO2 removal.
